Now, while many online gamblers would like to be called online gamers thanks to modern graphics that make online casino games look more like video games, there are other people who believe that renaming online gambling as online gaming would be a way to erase the line between online gambling and online gaming industry.

The opponents of this idea seem to forget that online casino software developers have made their online casino games to look more like games.

Now if you are an online casino gambler like me, you will know that playing in an online casino is similar in some aspects to playing on your gaming system like Microsoft’s Xbox. Now that online casinos and poker rooms have upgraded and are even providing you with your own avatar, I just don’t see the point in why online gambling cannot be called online gaming. In an online casino you can even choose whether you want to play alone or with other players, and this to me is exactly like what I do with my gaming system.

Remember, gamblers know what they are doing and the only difference between a game and gambling is the bets that they place. This is exactly what makes online gambling fun and exciting compared to a game that you would play online. Other than that one difference it is hard for me to differentiate online gambling and online gaming.
