A lot of people are unsure what exactly the term bankroll refers to. Bankroll pertains to the total money that a player or a casino has on hand for their wagering activities. The bankrolls can be classified on several different levels. At the highest level, the bankroll is that amount of money that is specifically set aside to support all gambling activities. In short, it is the total amount of money you have to place your bets with. A subset of bankroll is the player’s traveling bankroll. This is the amount of money that a player carries along to support his gambling on a particular trip. This can be further divided into smaller amounts for each day of the trip, or even smaller amounts for each table sitting or playing session. These bankrolls have been carefully categorized primarily to improve one’s money management and to keep track of how much will be at risk during any given gambling session or table sitting.
